This sample pack contains all the raw PCM waveforms of the  legendary D-50. Later Roland synths do not contain these samples only the mixed waveforms of  D-50 patches. So this sample pack was made so you can recreate L.A. patches without a D-50. 
Because the samples are in standard WAV format, they can be used with hardware or software samplers. The waveforms which were sustained on the D-50 are looped. The loops were made on an Akai S6000 and are recognized on the Korg Kronos and Yamaha EX5 but some hardware such as the Roland Fantom X did not recognize the loop data.
