The Kurzweil K1000 had a phenomenal set of samples but the factory patches only scratch the surface of what the great synthesizer could do. There's a general misconception that the Kurzweill instruments were just for piano and organ sounds. These advanced patches realize their full potential with evolving pads like the Korg Wavestation and fat leads and basses. The piano, vibes, trumpet and strings were programed to sound like stereo samples. The banks are saved as standard midi files that can be sent from a sequencer.
